The circa 1910 stone-fronted villa was rich in character, providing the perfect foundation for a bold rear extension. Coined “Moody Moditerranean,” the new addition introduces sculptural arches, abundant natural light and layered materiality that feels both dramatic and warm.

Designed for a family of five who love to entertain, the open-plan kitchen, living and dining zone needed to balance statement design with everyday functionality. Punchy colour, tactile finishes and considered detailing elevate the space, while intelligent storage solutions ensure seamless flow.

Beyond the main living zone, the renovation extended to the laundry, mudroom, study, master suite and main bathroom — ensuring every space felt cohesive, resolved and thoughtfully connected. The result is a home that honours its heritage while embracing modern family living with confidence and personality.

For the client, the result was transformative:

"I had a vague idea of what I wanted but no clear direction, and Bre took the time to truly understand my style, needs, and even my quirks. The result? A space that’s functional, beautiful, and uniquely me."
